Good and Less Good

So good to wake up to sunshine and birdsong instead of grey skies and traffic, beautiful though Braga, Guimarães, and Aveiro were. 

Less good to try to clean and tidy all the uncleared mess from Christmas and cooking for the NY meal... fairly impossible until we get the other room back in action, but we at least needed space to eat on the table and a clean floor.

Good to get a wash done and dried on the line. And firewood sawed and collected, olive and almond prunings - blipped. And fresh fruit and veg from Maria at the market.

Less good to read the news after a few days without time to; horrors from every side, taking it to God in prayer, how else to deal with it all??

Gratefuls:
- basket full of avocados from a tree opposite where the Padres live
- time to think and chill and catch up with ourselves
- a great future son-in-law, whose birthday it is today, hope it's a good one, Tom!
