Roros
Today the weather forecast was only nice in Roros, which is about 100 km away from Soknedal where we were staying, We drove there, taking about two hours, the roads are very bendy and are ice. The tyres have spikes, so are quite grippy. Roros is a beautiful historic UNESCO listed former mining town in the East of Norway, south of Trondheim on the Swedish boarder. It was absolutely fantastic, beautiful old houses, so well preserved, great cafes and art galleries.
The silvester celebrations began on the return, which were quite a full on party including 5 kg shrimps to eat, gin and tonics in the hotpot, snow angel making, plus the arrival of all the locals to carry on the party at 3 am.
