Looking for Lockerbie

Tonight I went to a talk on a new book (Looking for Lockerbie) which is a book put together by Lawrence Mason Jr, Melissa Chessher and the students of Syracuse University. The link between the University and Lockerbie is that a number of students lost their lives in the PanAm flight 103 disaster. Lawrence Mason Jr gave the talk and he had taught a number of students that died in the disaster.

The talk was very interesting as it was very much a personal account by someone who had been touched by the disaster. There is also an ongoing relationship between Lockerbie and Syracuse University in the form of an exchange programme where two students from Lockerbie are able to attend Syracuse University each year.

The book itself is not about the disaster and is actually about finding the real Lockerbie and discovering the real people that live there.

The talk was held in Beyond Words which is an Edinburgh institution and a must visit for anyone interested in photography ... so everyone on this site I guess.
