Kestrel

Took a wonderful circular walking route to Saughton Park (Edinburgh), this afternoon.  Although sited in urban Gorgie we had a good afternoon spotting wildlife including an albino squirrel and this beautiful female kestrel who was hunting in the park.  She was so intent on catching something that she didn't seem to notice us, and we were able to watch her for at least 5 minutes.  What a treat.
ps-It seemed to me that a large number of Friends of Saughton Park were at the park this afternoon, it was great to meet so many people down there.
