A visit to London

Luke had planned to get the train back to London this morning, but due to engineering works the trains were not running and so using a replacement bus it was going to take him 1.5 hours to get home. Instead we decided to drive him up which only took us 34 minutes from our house to his flat.

We dropped his things off at his flat, got a take away coffee and then went for a walk in Battersea Park which is just across the river from his flat.It was Xena's first visit to London, and she loved her walk in the park. There were many dogs running around and we even met two Vizsla's, one being a male puppy her age.

After that Luke went home and we drove back to Surrey. Thomas had stayed at home to study as he has exams when term starts next week.

The house is even quieter today with Luke gone. Tomorrow my brother leaves to go back to SA, Gavin goes back to work, and the house will be very quiet once again - it seems to go from a feast to a famine here! I will miss all of them this week.
