Lanercost Priory

We looked around Lanercost Priory this afternoon...founded in 1169 as an Augustinian House of Prayer.

It is 12 miles East of Carlisle, and is now looked after by English Heritage.

Hadrian's Wall is nearby, too!

Nice cafe and gift shop as well.
