Now, as I see it......

Harrold

Today we partook of the annual traditional ceremony known as 'Try to start W's car'.  Performed every January around 12th night, the ceremony starts with inserting the key, turning it, and listening to the calm and silence interrupted only by a few choice words.  Stage 2 involves exercise; attempting to push the car into a position where the jump leads will reach from mine; always a fun part.  Stage three is called 'try to attach the jump leads to the negative terminal of my car which is awkwardly positioned under the bulkhead'; an exciting part of the ceremony which always takes several attempts.  My, how we laugh.  Finally, it involves getting W's car started, re-inflating the tyres, and taking it for a long drive.  We ended up at Harrold for a walk around the lake, where I took this shot of one of the many wood carvings.
