The flowering Schlumbergera (Christmas cactus)

Happy New Year everyone.

It seems a little late but as I haven't had much energy today, I'm blipping the flowering Christmas cactus. I bought it last spring as a tiny pot plant because I haven't had one for many years. In recent times I've had a related plant which had much smaller leaves and multiple tiny flowers. Sadly it gave up the ghost suddenly last spring, possibly having an infestation of something attacking its roots.

This plant has grown quickly and I was surprised when just before Christmas it lived up to its name by producing a selection of buds. This flower is the first to fully open.
