It's a dark and dreary day...
...and need I mention very windy....and very cold! Tom stayed in the car, but Mae came out with me to take some pictures. She'd been arguing with me about all the layers of clothes I'd made her put on if she wanted to come along, but in less than a couple of minutes she was saying how cold it was. I told her I'd take her back to the car & she could stay with grandpa, but she wouldn't go....she followed me everywhere, & I was really impressed that she did, because it was frigid. (I've put a couple others I liked into the extras). We've tried several times to face time the twins, as they turn 11 today, but we haven't been able to connect with them yet.
We had such a wonderful time at the wedding reception last night, which was held at St. John's Military Academy. I'd never been inside any of the buildings before, but the one the reception was held in was built in 1864, had walls of stone and two huge old fireplaces, one at either end--reminded me of a castle & was warm and inviting. The bride and groom were both beaming with happiness, the groom's brother gave a really funny speech that had us all laughing, they were well toasted, and I hope they have a long and happy life together! :))
