Ancient Lakes

Still no snow so we headed out to Ancient Lakes. This is an area of columnar basalt columns and coulees carved by the great Ice Age Floods. It makes for wonderful hiking almost year-round. The hike is about 4.5 miles round trip out to a series of lakes and waterfalls. Spectacular wide open spaces and skies.
