A Day At A Time.

Epiphany

It was a hot day last May that I had the sudden realisation that I could not, for many reasons, continue to be a full-time classroom teacher.

I had done it for nearly 40 years and enough was enough. My health was suffering and the mojo was harder and harder to find.

So after a few months of being semi-retired (and semi-paid, but you can't have everything), I find myself the day before term starts, looking forward to spending time with my half dozen pupils and lovely new friends, rather feeling that all-too-familiar sense of dread.

That's a result, I'd say.
