Oi...!

Surprising how loud the sound of breaking ice is.

It was the swan's fault as he kept biting his feathered friends bum. The goose was not impressed and consequently kept making attempts to get away and he was having some difficulty getting through the ice. He was not really designed as an ice-breaker. As he managed to break through the ice, the swan would then go at him again and poor Goosey would have to break through more ice or climb up onto it as he did eventually.

He only came out for a quiet morning swim.

This was taken just a little further along from yesterdays shot of the canal and from one of the narrow stone bridges that cross the canal.
