Smoky sunrise

First early morning walk of the year to fit in before my first day back at work. A smoky morning, probably caused by the southerly wind pushing the smoke up towards us.

Today I am grateful for a job that I love. Although there are the usual frustrations and politics of teamwork, the good moments and the amazing children I work with make every moment worth it. A new group of three year olds joined our room today and they were all so excited to join the “big kids”.
Michael got stung by a bee today, on the eyelid. It was a chance encounter and since it got caught behind his glasses, I’m sure it felt it had no other options. His eye is swollen almost shut and is very sore. Thankfully he is not allergic yet!
