Gas Works!

There was a lot of noise outside this morning just gone 8am. On looking out the window the British Gas Contractors were outside in the road with a massive machine that was shaving off the road surface, as they are putting in new gas supply pipes. Then some rain and the mud turns to muck.

I am a little concerned that the pipes they have exposed are for water!!  It brings to mine a duo, Flanders & Swann, that sang the wonderful song "The Gasman Cometh" The first lines are: Twas on a Monday morning the Gasman came to call. I'm sure there are a few of you that will remember the ditty. 

So gas off from 8am in the morning (Tues) and should be back on at 2.30pm, if I'm Lucky, so watch this space ;-)
