Green Pond ...
.... in the fog.
We awoke to very foggy conditions today and it never really got any better.
Of course, this didn't stop us from going out. Our walk today was at Louise Moore Park after we did a bit of shopping here and there. So far we have been able to get out for a walk everyday this year .... each day at a different location/park. It would be nice to keep this trend up but since we are in the middle of Winter I'm not optimist.
While we were at Louise Moore Park we could see some huge flocks of snow geese in the air and saw that they were coming down somewhere nearby. On the way home from the park we tried to locate them and found that they were in some fields near Green Pond. Unfortunately we were unable to get close enough for any decent pictures ..... especially with the gray skies and foggy conditions. Hopefully one of these days I will be able to get some good pictures to blip before they are gone. They only migrate through our area and are not permanent residents.
As we were driving by Green Pond I was struck by this foggy scene on the pond. These are Canada geese (who are here year round) and if you look closely you can see one snow goose .... middle right under the house.
