The Night Of The Mind
‘Ignorance is the night of the mind, but a night without moon or star.’
— Confucius
Confucius,
wise as wisdom itself,
entered my dreams last night.
We were face to face.
‘The world,’ he said,
'can be a better place.
Show kindness and goodness.
Praise modesty and honesty.
Be trustworthy.’
‘Now sleep,’ he said.
And I did.
I slept well.
