At home: One lump or Two? Anyone for hose ice?

There is nothing more irritating than needing to get water to a frozen place with a frozen hose. If there is an icy blanket of white over the ground then why waste the time with an obviously frozen pipe. I find myself bucketing water from the house up to chickens on a such a morning. Today, the sun melted the ground for most of this morning, So I took another glance at the frozen pipe thinking just maybe it would save my lugging slopping water, just for today anyway.

I love the frozen cylinders that shoot out of the pipe. Perfectly compressed hose shapes. The children are fascinated by them and amused by them shooting out of the hose with the pressure off the water behind...Its a blizzard outside tonight...more hose shapes being formed again as I write! x
