Chip Off The Old Block

D had to starve himself for 24 hours and (without going into too much detail) take some hideous concoction to ensure he was completely ...erm... ‘empty’ today for an exploratory procedure at The Spire Hospital. When it was over, I picked him up and , although slightly groggy, he was starving hungry and requested a stop off at McDonald’s on the way home.
We spent the afternoon fairly quietly, relieved that it was all over.
