Maple Grove
Exploring an unfamiliar part of the wood in hope of finding something fresh to photograph today. I found this woodland quite hard, the trees are straight and the undergrowth dense, so it's difficult to get a perspective because there's always something in the way.
I tried several angles on this group of maples, trying to get some separation between them. I always like the bark which seems to flake off.
I darkened the two nearest trunks, as they seemed to be a touch more in shadow, in order to separate them further.
Although the sky looks a touch blue, it was overcast and grey. I expect some directional light might have helped.
