Snowdrops

The first snowdrops of the year poking through the leaf litter in Philorth Woods. The first flowers always appear in the same place, a sheltered south facing spot at the base of a sycamore. There are also fresh green leaves of lesser celandine and the spears of wild garlic appearing. They will both carpet the woods after the snowdrops are gone.
