to start anew

in a new year - my faithful little warrior - african violet plant is - celebrating a year victorious - with a pink bloom for me - i thought it rather fitting - that almost 1 year to the day - of it suffering the most severe - hit of water and insulation debris - possible it produces this glorious - pink blossom in defiance of that moment

or perhaps it’s a testament - to resilience and hope - as a warrior - for all plants, humans and animals alike - that regardless of the - hand we’ve been dealt - the set of circumstances - surrounding us or how dim - our situation might seem - we can still rise up - rise up to overcome it - withstand that which is before us - conquer the unbelievable odds - of what has happened - refuse to let negativity - get the best of us - because the reality is - it has no power over us
