Kotare

No run this morning and then a busy day before collecting Buttercup from daughter C's home to bring north with us. We are kitten sitting for a few days. He was unimpressed with an hour in the car. I also needed to get out and get some fresh air after arriving here.

Got down to the mud flats and was greeted by a squawking kotare which seemed keen to get my attention. I obliged and followed and got close enough to get a photo which I was able to enlarge slightly.

I was fortunate that the sun came out from behind the clouds as I was taking this and cast a low light across it. Worth looking at large
