Gift from Patient

Today was a bit moving at work. A patient and her husband came in especially to see me exactly a year after she had a very traumatic delivery of her daughter. She had an undiagnosed placenta accreta and praevia and went into DIC. 8hours of surgery and 45 bags of blood products and we managed to keep her alive. It was a superb example of team working. They both realised how close she came to not being a mother and she had made me this traditional shirt to say thank you. Lovely day
