The Fir Tree

I’m always reminded of the Hans Christian Anderson fable of the Fir Tree when I see the poor trees out for recycling post Christmas. This year we tried to be more ‘Environmentally Friendly’ by shredding the branches to mulch the Azaleas and turning the rest into fire wood.
It is equally heart breaking to see it in the wood pile :-(. Perhaps a tree in a pot next year.
