Spider as big as a plate
Today was the hottest day ever on record in Sydney with the temperature reaching 45° Celsius (115° Fahrenheit) - here in the Southern Highlands 130 Kilometres (81 miles) south of Sydney and at the elevation of 640 metres (2100 feet) above sea level we hit a massive 40° Celsius (104° Fahrenheit).
Bush fires were bad today - but thankfully we are still safe and relatively untouched.
This huge little spider welcomed me at the front door when I arrived home tonight.
