Ouch!

Off to the vets after a play with Ivy as Oscar has a split nail. The Exile had inadvertently opened a door on his foot before Xmas and over Xmas he was licking his paw more and more. I'd looked at it at the time and it seemed fine, and again when he was licking it at my sisters. Yesterday I looked again and felt the split on the underside of his nail. The vet clipped the nail and put him on antibiotics - if he gets an infection and it travels to the bone it can be really bad. Apart from the licking he isn't limping or otherwise bothered by it. Apparently walks on the beach are the best thing - lots of salt water! Lucky we went there New Years day! 
Home via the deli once more! I'd already bought some of these balsamic vinegars  on a previous visit - raspberry   and a blood orange cream! Both really yummy! Above the silver funnels are huge glass containers so you can refill your bottles! As well as organic meat, dairy, veg and all sorts of preserves, flour, sweets, puddings etc there are handcrafted gifts and a range of eco friendly household stuff. They have knitted cloths which I already have from my sister! They are really good at cleaning dishes and surfaces! I have a green set for the kitchen and a pink set for my bathroom and my face!!
