Härnösand Artwork
We had a fairly full today. HarlingDarling has written a lot about it so I won't repeat it all here, but part of the day was a visit to the town's art gallery. This wallhanging was created by a very talented colleague and friend of Jan's, Eva Proffe, who died fairly recently. At the top it shows some of the town's most well-known buildings, the white cathedral, the town hall, and the residence of the county-governor. All the other buildings are along one street , Kastellgatan, and we knew 4 of them straight away. It's a lovely work, beautiful in it's own right but also in the context of Härnösand and the life of Eva.
Perhaps I should make this a blip-project and photograph each building over the next few months!
When we walked down to the water after lunch the moon was rising over town and I couldn't resist adding an extra.
