Spot the Santa

When I got up this morning I was determined to keep the lunch date with a group of ex teacher friends, pain or no pain.

I think it's the first time I've been out of the house since new years day or thereabouts.

Ian gave me a lift and we met up in Aqua in Petts Wood. To say the meal was a disaster is to put it mildly. Each one of us had a problem with either the first or second course.

Helen's dessert was described as Fudge cake and she has a real aversion to chocolate. Guess what it was. When she called the waiter and said it didnt say chocolate on the menu, he said he had never heard of any other type of fudge. She declined his alternative offer of a replacement dessert and he more or less shrugged his shoulders.

To add insult to injury they added 12.5% service to the bill , which we didn't pay.

Such a pity as there were six of us and we'd been looking forward to our first meeting of 2020, but we won't be returning to Aqua.
