Bali!

Always odd to arrive somewhere hot over Xmas and see Xmas trees etc. We arrived in Bali at about 3.30pm picked up by our young driver Roy and then took six hours in heavy traffic to get to the far north west.  Bear in mind it’s about the size of Hampshire.  New Year’s Day traffic on small roads. Bit like driving round Mull tbh but in heavier traffic! We were quite relaxed. The hotel is in the middle of jungle and the rain (monsoon) was heavy. On the way we passed through very strong showers and thick mist. Got one of those tourist welcomes with flowers.  Lovely rustic cabin in the jungle.
