Morecambe Bay birdlife.
A beautiful day today; no wind and full sunshine made it feel quite warm out in the Bay. I arrived at high tide and walked out to the edge of the grass where I set up my tripod. I then just stayed put and watched the tide go out. As soon as the muddy beach became exposed the redshanks started to probe while making their shrill calls [extra]. The oystercatchers were initially huddled together in large groups on land but started flying about as soon as the sandbanks started to appear. I must have stood there by my tripod for about 3 hours but the time flashed by as it was all so wonderful to watch.
