Red door

This red metal door is a striking addition to the ancient little church of St Michael in Mickleham. The church inside is unspoilt with elements of its Saxon and Norman origins and a quiet gentle atmosphere. I was exploring with a friend while our menfolk chatted at length outside. We had lunched together in the pub opposite, The Running Horses. This was my third pub lunch this week! Why does it happen that on some weeks the diary is completely empty and on others we are busy every day?
