"Have you cut the hole for the electrics yet?" I asked.
"Yes" cried Mrs FP triumphantly. "Eighty six by one hundred and forty six inches."

"Inches?" I asked.

There followed a short but heated discussion about SI units of measure, in particular millimetres.
