Ooooppps!

We haven't had a toaster for almost 2 years, it's starting to get annoying and I've been threatening to get a new toaster for ages - but never actually getting around to it.  Kind of cracked last night, got too caught up in actually research toasters, reading review after review of the sensible £30 - £40 toasters that said they break - and - most importantly don't fit larger bread slices.  Kind of important when you bake your own bread.  The review for this one were just glowing, so I did it, and spent more than double the budget.  It arrived today - I love it, if you can love a toaster!

We had the worlds worst nights sleep last night, I think we're both on about 4 hours sleep (bed is beckoning).  Late night with the husband finishing some DIY, then I woke up at about 2am, got up at 3am till 3.45am, when the youngest woke up, and got him back to sleep at 5.30am.  Yup, awake from 2 - 5.30am, then up at 6.45am.  How we've all got through today, and kept our sense of humours I have no idea, but we've all done it pretty darn well!

The eldest had a special assembly today as he was a 'golden child'. Asking at the school, all children are a golden child for an assembly.  That said, boy, was he proud of himself, he barely took his eyes of me the whole assembly and his teacher said some very nice words about him.  In addition, he was the only golden child to have been given a certificate for the number of merits given. He did really well.

Boys went to bed top and tailing in one of their beds, each reading a tractor ted book and chatting away to each other.
