In The Bleak Midwinter

Winter has truly settled in now and the cold has rushed in from the north. It’s so cold today. High of -25C and lows of -29C.

I had to drive to town for an appointment early this morning and the car complained too. Creaking and groaning in new ways. The first really nasty cold always tests the vehicles and whatever is weak in them, fails quickly. I’m glad to say there were no fails today.

Later it’s to go down to -38C.

I’m sure I shall be a popsicle by then.
