I'm getting wise to Valerie's tricks. Daddy sets a chore, she has the perfect delaying tactic; engage (pun absolutely intended) the old man in some Star Trek banter. I didn't take the bait tonight. Still, I hope she won't abandon this method forever; I'm happy to be suckered this way sometimes.
