Swan Portrait
I had Friday off, so went to the cinema to see the world war one movie 1917.
I was really looking forward to it, but ended up being kind of disappointed. It is very impressive to look at, but the simplicity of the story and the 'one continuous shot' technique offered very little character development.
I think Peter Jackson's 'They Shall Not Grow Old' and Stanley Kubrick's 'Paths of Glory' are still the benchmark WWI anti-war movies.
I went for a walk afterwards, it was bitterly cold.
A couple of swans sailed nice and close to my camera.
(I think I can see myself reflected in the swans eye)
