Went to the Newhall Valley with the kids today - I had a flask of coffee and they had a flump each... we got up really close to an egret and then Chris wandered up, sat down with us and told us the best places to watch the local heron. Then he opened up a can (he didn’t want any of my coffee) and sat and chatted for a while as the kids played poo sticks. Very pleasant! When I asked for a photo Chris said “but my hair is all windswept and interesting!”

Then we wandered on up to Daniel and Bruna’s for lunch with them, Paul, Ada and Kamsi.
