"New" Sofa

30 years ago Jack and I bought a black velvet sofa in Habitat. It has seen many occasions in our life, most mundane, others happy or sad. But now the material had faded a lot and we thought we needed a new one. We were advised by several people in the furniture trade to re-cover it rather than dump it for a new one as it was structurally very good. So yesterday it came home after 4 days with the upholstery boys, looking beautiful, blue and brand new. Now we have to keep the cats off it!
