Out into the world!
Sue was feeling well enough to go with me to the Portland Art Museum for an event sponsored by Dont Shoot Portland, in conjunction with the end of the Hank Willis Thomas exhibit. A powerful singer named LaRhonda Steele sang songs of the civil rights movement while a woman who was a member of SNCC talked about the songs. In the community art area, Dont Shoot displayed some of my photographs of their events over the past ten years, along with some of their screen-printed posters. It is the only time in my life I'll have my photographs in an art museum, so I was really happy Sue and I were both able to go.
Edit: I added a Flickr set that vaguely shows the community art area of the exhibit.
