Colour on a grim day
After yesterday's wonderful sunshine, which raised my spirits enormously, today we were back to gloom, which caused an equally sudden crash in my mood. I don't suppose I can blame it all on the weather - partly it's a consequence of having too much to do before the end of the month. Not that I made very much progress today.
I dragged myself out in the late afternoon for a walk round Castor, but took very few photographs as the light was grim and there was a strong and gusty wind. I was looking for some colour to brighten up my day, and found it among the tombstone lichens, though I had to use flash to focus and light my photograph. There are at least half a dozen species in this image - just don't ask me to name them all!
