Sitting on the fence

This afternoon we went for a walk on the lanes around Rhydycroesau. There was a cold wind but at least it stayed dry most of the time.  All the fields were very muddy so we weren't tempted to follow any footpaths.

I was trying to get a better shot of something and stepped onto what I thought was a bank. It was, a bank of mud that I sank straight in (luckily with only one foot), I wished that I was wearing wellies!

The lichen is looking beautiful at the moment and there was a lovely variety of types growing on this fence.
