A Hard Walk !
After yesterday's aborted walk we decided to make the most of the glorious weather by tackling the coast path between Coleton Fishacre and Dartmouth.
Passing the Coastguard's lookout at Froward Point we went in for a chat and a nose around. The two volunteers were so friendly and explained some of the technical aspects of their job (1st extra)
Slipping and sliding along the muddy, treacherous paths made for a slow speed which got even slower when faced with steep steps both up and down.
The views along the coast and into the mouth of the River Dart were spectacular - main blip
By noon were were approaching Kingswear and we soon decided that all our efforts so far deserved a treat.
Caught the ferry across to Dartmouth (2nd extra) and had a brunch in Alf Frescos before walking back to the car again.
A slightly different route but still extreme ascents.
Everything is now aching !
