Ängekyrkan

Going to church on a Sunday is an unusual activity for us, but this morning we went to Ängekyrkan because it sounded as if the service would be interesting, with a dialogue between the pastor and the local paper's liberal editor.  That was interesting but we were also very happy with the general atmosphere in the church.
I was surprised at how many of the people there I knew to some degree too. In the congregation there were families, younger people, new Swedes, as well as a fair number of grey-haired folks such as ourselves. The music, as provided by a trio, was excellent and the general singing was good too. All this is rather different to our usual church events.  I think we'll be back now and again.
We discovered a horrendous mix-up of dates which means we won't be skiing in Vemdalen, as we'll be enjoying ourselves in Portugal and travelling home while that event is going on.  Ah well, first world problems...
Jan has also written about the day and has a different picture of this church if you want to take a look.
