Rosemary

A notable day. This wonderful woman is 100 today, an occasion joyously celebrated by her family and friends with a big party at which her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren lauded her remarkable life, shared wonderful anecdotes from across the years, recited a birthday poem written especially for her, and played music to her on a variety of instruments.
Rosemary has had a courageous and significant life, including wartime work with the Special Operations Executive. Here she is with her very special birthday card, from Her Majesty the Queen.
I am proud to have known her for more than half her life, as best friend of her eldest daughter since we were children. Happy birthday Rosemary!
