King Tide

The powerful pull of the moon and sun brought large waves to the Pacific Coast this weekend. Logs were tossed onto the beaches like twigs, parking lots filled with debris and closed, one man and his two children were swept out to sea. One child and the father were recovered, but the child was pronounced dead at the hospital. The other child was never found.

Even at low tide, the waters were high, the wind was wild and cold.
