The only white stuff...

...I have seen today is the icing sugar on the top of my mini victoria sponges that I made this morning. I'm a little disappointed as I do like a bit of snow. I spotted Mr Blackbird (aka M. Le Beakstier - I like to think he has French ancestry!) out and about today, pecking away at an apple I left out, but my shots of him were a bit blurred by the time I had cropped them so you could see him properly! I need a longer lens I think...as well as a proper macro lens...! Ah, kit! There's nothing like it, but it's all a bit too pricey for the moment.

So, here you have a blip of my victoria sponges, made for a friend who was coming over for a cup of tea and a blether. I can highly recommend them...they are delicious! Far better than a large cake in my opinion!
