Glen Almond
Although there has been no more snow here today the wind was icy, confirming that cold weather was on the move elsewhere. The camera was hardly out of my pocket for the duration of the walk but at least the snow was dry and powdery so it wasn't sticking to Bruce's coat. At one stage the pair came across "their" pool where they like to enjoy a splash around and were very bemused to find it frozen over however after some tentative steps they both ventured out onto the skiddy surface and quickly came off it! It was almost a bambi moment!
Knowing that the snow would probably arrive by tomorrow I then decided to take a drive into a delightful glen nearby known as The Sma' Glen to see wht is was looking like. As its name suggests it is tiny but also incredibly steep sided, so much so that it is very difficult to take photographs to do it justice. The huge scree slopes were covered with snow and were looking magnificent but it wasn't until I was leaving the glen that I saw a hint of light and took this view which looks toward the western end of Glen Almond. After the recent snowy blips of my local hills I thought you might like to see another view of Scotland's awesome scenery enhanced by the white stuff.
I hope you are all safe and warm and that the snow hasn't caused any major disruption.
