Dusk and the Île de Peilz ....

... with cormorants roosting. This is the only natural island in Lake Geneva and is also called Queen Victoria's Island. The story says that the locals presented the island to Queen Victoria as a gift on the occasion of her visit to nearby Montreux ("the English Riviera"); she thanked them and forgot about it, and decades later the Swiss presented the British with a property tax bill and penalties!

Extra is a more wide angled scene.

Can't believe how well my last two blips have been received, many thanks.

News of Nexya... she has spent the day sleeping under a chair in the bedroom having had a cat party with all her toys last night. Please don't let this be a pattern. She is still there! I know we must respect her space and do nothing!
