Sick day...

The eldest was off school today, basically better, not quite fit for school though. 

The husband did the morning shift as I had a meeting (well, I had to stand in for someone who also had a sick child...).  

I hadn't made it to the sales, which is a bit annoying, so I had the brain wave of using the sick-day (afternoon) for just that.  Naughty, maybe, good use of time - yes.  So, of course, when you set out for shopping, can you find anything, nope.  I bought a top, and something for each of the boys.  The eldest had a great time and was skipping along beside me, playing hide and seek in the clothing rails and generally being pretty darn chirpy.  He was also a pretty good shopping companion, told me what he thought looked good and then what was 'terrible' - his words, and I agreed with him!  Bought a gilet for the jumper and coat hating youngest, I put it on him when I collected him, it was off in 2 seconds flat and referred to with complete disdain for being a coat....
