Rie

She is sitting at the fire hearth. She is from Japan.

She teaches the tin whistle every Monday night in the Harbour Bar in Bray. She strayed into the tin whistle the same way that i did with teaching. A friend was going to tin whistle classes and asked her to come along. Rie fell in love with the tin whistle while her friend dropped out of it. She became so proficient at it that she started to teach it herself. 

Unfortunately she has run into a bit of visa trouble and may have to return to Japan. We are hoping that she can stay but it is up in the air at the moment. We all headed down tonight for what might be her last session but hope as they say springs eternal and she may be able to carry on teaching and making music.
